Every agent knows a listing video helps. The problem has never been wanting one. It's getting one made, for every listing, while the listing is still hot.

At 7th Letter Media we're a New Jersey film and video production company. We shoot commercials, music videos and features, and we edit real footage every week. When we built Auto Edit into 7LM Content Forge, our Hollywood Evolved™ studio, real estate was one of the first use cases on the board, because the problem is so clear: lots of footage, a tight deadline, and a format with a pattern.

What a great listing video needs

  • A strong opening: curb appeal, the hero room, or the view.

  • A logical walk-through so buyers understand how the home flows.

  • Steady, well-exposed shots.

  • Music and pacing that match the property.

  • Clean titles: address and key features.

Doing that by hand for every property takes real editing time, which is why so many listings go without video or wait days for it.

How Auto Edit gets you there

  1. Shoot the walkthrough. Phone, gimbal or camera. Walk the home in a logical order and hold on each room.

  2. Upload the clips.

  3. Auto Edit goes through the footage and builds a first-cut listing video.

  4. You review and finish. Swap the opening shot, change the music, adjust titles, export.

The goal isn't to take the agent or videographer out of it. It's to get from raw clips to a reviewable cut fast, so your time goes into the decisions that sell the house.

Shoot footage that edits beautifully

  • Move slowly. Slow, steady movement beats fast pans every time.

  • Hold each shot. Three to five seconds of steady footage per angle gives the edit room to breathe.

  • Frame for vertical too. Keep key details near the center so social crops work.

  • Light it up. Every lamp on, every blind open. Bright reads as move-in ready.

  • Bookend with exteriors. Start and end outside.

  • Declutter first. No software can hide a counter full of dishes.

Check before you post

  • Accuracy. Every title and feature should match the listing.

  • Privacy. Personal photos, mail and security panels out of frame.

  • Permission. Make sure the seller has approved video marketing of the home.

  • Honest presentation. No effects that misrepresent a space.

When to bring in the pros

For a luxury listing, a development or a brokerage brand film, you want a full production: cinema cameras, lighting, and a director who knows how to make a home feel like a story. That's work we do every day as a production company.

For the everyday listing that needs a clean, sharp video this week, Auto Edit closes the gap between "we should have video" and "the video is up."
